(Fort McMurray, AB, April 26, 2018) - (Fort McMurray, Alberta, April 26, 2018) – The Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo (RRC) is pleased to announce the continued partnership with Scotiabank for the third year in a row to provide summer camp opportunities for children and youth in Anzac and Fort McMurray.

“We are proud to be continuing our support of the Scotiabank MI Summer Camps,” said Brent Seib, District Vice President, Alberta North, at Scotiabank. “We know that some of the best childhood memories are created at camp and through the Scotiabank MI Summer Camps the campers will gain valuable lessons that will benefit them in the future and help them reach their infinite potential.”

Scotiabank MI Summer Camps are week-long summer break daycamps where kids ages 3-13 explore new skills and build confidence, while making new friends. Activities include sports, interactive games, golf, swimming and more. The Scotiabank MI Summer Leadership Camp will once again feature the highly successful week-long program designed for youth ages 13-15 to develop leadership skills through a leadership-in-training program. Thanks to the generous ongoing partnership with Scotiabank the 2018 summer camps are presented to the community with reduced registration fees.

Similar to last year, the Scotiabank MI Summer Camps will be available at MacDonald Island Park and at the Anzac Recreation Centre presented by Nexen Energy, a CNOOC Limited company.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Scotiabank once again for the Scotiabank MI Summer Camps this summer at MacDonald Island Park and the Anzac Recreation Centre,” said Rachel Orser, Interim Chief Executive Officer of the RRC. “This will be our third year partnering with Scotiabank allowing for more affordable summer camps to residents in the Wood Buffalo region. We look forward to the community taking part in these camps, enabling youth in our community to create long lasting memories!”
