In every Canadian city, town and arena there’s a great hockey story. The Fort McMurray Oil Barons have turned the viewing experience of their games into the best in Canada. In 2010 the Oil Barons hosted the first outdoor game in AJHL history — the Fort McMurray Northern Classic — and set a new record in AJHL attendance with 5,726 fans smashing the previous record of 4,400. Chris Phillips was raised in Fort McMurray and played for the Oil Barons before play 16 seasons for the Ottawa Senators.
Ron MacLean is coming to Fort McMurray, AB, with the Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour to celebrate the city’s iconic hockey story.
