The Western Canada Summer Games 2015 Wood Buffalo continues the western Canadian tradition as a multi-sport event to provide development opportunities for amateur athletes and to help them advance their skills in a competitive, but friendly environment.
The Western Canada Summer Games 2015 Wood Buffalo is the largest multi-sport event to be hosted in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. With 18 sports, 2015 Wood Buffalo will bring over 2500 athletes to our community from Canada’s four western provinces and three northern territories.
Over 14,000 guests will be in our region from August 7 – 16, 2015, including family and friends, coaches, officials, and media. The 10 days of the Games will also include a Festival featuring guest artists, musicians, art displays and cultural performances.

Get your tickets to the Western Canada Summer Games 2015 Wood Buffalo!
The first limited release of tickets will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2015. Tickets on sale at this time are Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Super Passes and Combo Packages for opening and closing ceremonies.
The remainder of ticket types will be released on April 29, 2015 – 100 days out from the Games! Tickets are available right online or by phone at 1-888-281-6477 or by visiting the MacDonald Island Park Box Office and other Regional Recreation Corporation locations

What is included in my tickets?
- 2 Phase Super Pass: entrance to all sporting events, except gold medal rounds of basketball, beach volleyball, indoor volleyball, and baseball. General seating only.
- Phase 1 and Phase 2 Pass: entrance to all sporting events except gold medal rounds of basketball, beach volleyball, indoor volleyball, and baseball. General seating only. Phase 1 is from August 7-11. Phase 2 is August 12-16.
- Opening Ceremonies: entrance to and seating in the seat assigned to the ticket you hold at the Opening Ceremonies held August 7, 2015.
- Closing Ceremonies: entrance to and seating in the seat assigned to the ticket you hold at the Closing Ceremonies held August 16, 2015.
- Single Day Event Passes: entrance into a specific sport for that specific day with general seating.
Are there any discounts for children, toddlers, seniors, military?
Children 4-12, seniors over 65 and military personnel receive a 20% discount on all tickets. For seniors and military personnel, please be prepared to show valid identification. Anyone under the age of four will need to be on the lap of a parent or guardian.

Where can I pick my tickets up during the Games?

All Ticket Kiosks will sell passes and tickets for the current events for purchase, if available except the airport kiosk will only exchange voucher for pass bracelets.

Yes! Single event passes are available and will grant you access to a single sport for the entire day you have purchased.

No we do not have day passes

Is there stroller parking?
Yes, there will be stroller parking available at all venues, except Opening and Closing ceremonies.
When do gold medal games tickets go on sale?
Medal round tickets will be released in three phases: April 29, 2015, July 8, 2015, and the final release will be four hours prior to each gold medal match.

Why are you releasing tickets in phases over time?
- This phased-in approach allows for the increase or decrease of passes depending on sales.
- This phased in approach also is required to ensure athletes and their families who do not secure a spot on their team until later in the season, still have the ability to purchase tickets.
